cap to the hill

on the hill, decaf is out.

i suppose i understand the logic behind its dismissal but sometimes a girl needs a little de-caffeination.

after a few hours working i.e. a few gallons of the real stuff i wanted the same taste minus the shakes.

i never really noticed until recently when i aggressively tried to order a non-jitter filled cup o’ joe at caffe vita, online coffee company and vivace roasteria. each barista looked at me with almost a sympathetic smile as if they felt sorry for me.

is ordering a cup of decaf coffee in seattle such a crime? i had no idea. 

the general response from these cafe’s involved a shrug of the shoulders and unenthusiastic offer of a decaf espresso shot. i passed. 

so, as i sit here, reevaluating my java ambitions, i ask you: is the decaf drip a big captiol hill faux pas?
